RANEPA Summer Campus is a unique annual international educational project for young people, whose training program consists of lectures and interactive sessions with leading Russian and foreign scientists, state officials and world-class businessmen.
This project was created at the initiative of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration and the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan. The mission of the Campus is creating a platform for communication of young talented people and forming a new generation of an intellectual elite.
The program of the Campus includes not only educational program, but also a wide range of entertainment activities, including a sightseeing tour to Kazan and nearby, different games and creativity competitions.
For the ninth year running, the students, who have successfully passed a comprehensive selection procedure, are granted a unique opportunity to spend a couple of weeks enriching their knowledge and practising their leadership and creative skills.
The theme of RANEPA International Summer Campus 2020 is Managing the Future.
Being teamed up in a dozen of multinational working groups, the Campus participants from different cities and countries become a part of an intellectual youth force, acquiring and improving practical project design and implementation skills and developing a strategic approach to decision-making.
A one-of-a-kind educational format of RANEPA International Summer Campus includes a series of training, seminars, master-classes, workshops and webinars, delivered by outstanding representatives of international and Russian academic, political and business elites.
RANEPA International Summer Campus, boosting students’ professional and personal growth, has already developed its brand awareness; it is a territory of enormous opportunities for future intellectual leaders.
SELECTION RULES AND CRITERIA
Criteria for participation:
· 2-3 year undergraduate students (1998-2002 years of birth, over 18 by 1 July);
· B2-C level of English;
· No record of participation in RANEPA Summer Campus.
· Creativity, decision-making skills, openness to innovations;
· Organizational skills and ability to work in a team;
· Analytical skills: ability to search for information, analyze and systemize it.
Checking and assessing candidates’ results:
Shortlist of application forms, based on English language test results and subject-related video.
Subject-related video (1-3 min) in English on one of the following topics:
· HOW DO YOU INFLUENCE THE FUTURE RIGHT NOW?
· DESCRIBE THE LEADER OF THE FUTURE
· TOOLS OF MANAGING THE FUTURE
Evaluation of subject-related video criteria
NB: the video will be evaluated only if it fits with the required timing of 1-3minutes.
Individual interview (via Skype / VCV):
The Individual interview is aimed at assessing whether the participants’ personal qualities conform to the mission and goals of RANEPA Summer Campus.
The interview with each candidate lasts about 3-5 minutes.
Summing up the individual interview results:
Following the interview, the Contest Committee will make a list of candidates who have successfully passed the selection procedure and are invited to RANEPA Summer Campus.
