Nepal International Youth Submit in 2020 (self-funded)

July 15-17, 2020 – Bhairahawa, Nepal Deadline: 15 March 2020

This three (3) days event will provide an opportunity for young people from around the globe to come together to discuss, find solutions, share best practices and develop innovative projects on youth empowerment, conflict transformation and Peacebuilding.

This International Youth Summit 2020 is a gathering between 50 to 120 young people from around the world to come together to share their experiences on how they are taking actions in their communities to protect and empower youth in Peacebuilding.

Who can attend:

  • Youth Advocates, Youth Organizations, representatives from NGOs, Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), UN agencies, academia, corporate agencies, and related stakeholders.

  • Young people between the age of 18-30 and Observers (limited number of seats are available for those between the age of 30 -45 years old);

  • Representatives from Non-Governmental Organizations(NGO), Youth Clubs, Civil Society Organizations, CSOs, institutions of higher learning, corporate bodies; philanthropy organizations, officials of the relevant government ministries or agencies or related stakeholders;

  • Proficient in English, able to do presentations in English, is a Must;

  • Possess good communication and interpersonal skills;

  • Demonstrate strong leadership abilities, committed and passionate in fostering change;

  • Capable and willing to share experiences and resources with others in the community and contribute to the follow-up process;

  • Willing and being able to participate actively for the whole duration of the event;

Evaluation of Application:

Each application is evaluated according to the following criteria:

  • Drive and motivation

  • Awareness and analytical skills

  • To what extent the applicant has an impact on strategic decisions within his/her organization or network

  • To what extent the applicant’s organization/network is driving change in the field of Youth and Peacebuilding.

  • The candidate’s possibility to both benefit from and contribute to the program.

*Note: In the selection, the evaluation committee will also consider group composition and will strive to put together participants with greatest possibilities for dynamic exchange and learning, as well as for continued collaboration and networking.

Details of Registration Fees are as follows:

  • Early Bird Registration (on/before 15th March 2020)

  • Local Delegates – NRP 7000/-

  • Foreign Delegates Residing in Nepal – USD 90.00

  • Delegates coming from Least Developed Countries (List of LDC) – USD 100.00

  • Foreign Delegates (Others) – USD 120.00

  • Late Registration (on/before 31st May 2020)

  • Local Participants– NRP 8500/-

  • Foreign Nationals Residing in Nepal – USD 120.00

  • Participants coming from Least Developed Countries (List of LDC) – USD 125.00

  • Foreign Participants (Others) – USD 150.00

What's included in the fee?

  • Accommodation: 3 nights stay on twin-sharing basis during the conference from 15th – 17th July 2020

  • Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, and Coffee Break are provided during the official International Conference dates. For participants with special dietary requirements, the organizers will make arrangements as much as possible to adjust the meals accordingly.

  • Airport transfer: Shuttles will be provided to the official venue from TIA (KTM) Airport arriving on 14th July 2020 ONLY (10.00 am, 2.00 pm and 6.00 pm only) (subject to further changes) Participants from Nepal will have to find their own way to the Official Venue.

  • Conference materials including nametag, folder,

  • Field trips and outreach programme

  • A Digital Certificate of Participation for delegates who have fully attended the conference. Kindly ensure that you register on each day at the conference venue.

Participants are responsible for their own air-travel and travel-related costs. Participants are strongly advised to arrange for their own insurance for individual travel, medical care and personal effects while attending the conference. Participants at the International Youth Summit are not covered for insurance purposes by Peace Campaign Nepal.


They are unable to provide any financial assistance, grants and subsidies assistance. We suggest you to check with local and international organizations in your region for sponsorship. Other delegates have found subsidy and sponsorship through searching the internet, approaching their local NGOs/GOs, businesses, friends, international funding agencies and even family.
