McKinsey & Company is inviting applications for its prestigious one-year full-time consulting Internship Program, tailored for recent university graduates from diverse academic backgrounds who are passionate about pursuing a consulting career and contributing to Africa’s development.​

Program Overview

The McKinsey Graduate Program focuses on cultivating critical skills essential for future success, including digital proficiency, structured thinking, and social and emotional intelligence. Interns will engage in various aspects of client engagements, such as:​

  • Gathering and analyzing information ​EduTimes Africa+3McKinsey & Company+3MSME Africa+3

  • Formulating and testing hypotheses ​Opportunity Tracker+6MSME Africa+6McKinsey & Company+6

  • Developing and communicating recommendations ​McKinsey & Company+6McKinsey & Company+6McKinsey & Company+6

  • Presenting results to client management ​EduTimes Africa

  • Collaborating with client team members to implement solutions ​EduTimes Africa

Throughout the program, interns will receive exceptional training, along with frequent coaching and mentoring from experienced colleagues.​

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Education: Undergraduate or master’s degree​

  • Work Experience: Less than three years​

  • National Service: Completed or about to begin national youth service​

  • Academic Achievement: Outstanding academic record ​Xigna POS & Inventory+4EduTimes Africa+4McKinsey & Company+4

  • Leadership: Proven record through extracurricular activities or work experience​

  • Analytical Skills: Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving abilities​

  • Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment​

  • Communication: Effective communication of complex ideas in English, both verbally and in writing​

  • Work in teams of typically 3-5 consultants, actively participating in all aspects of client engagements​
